Entify was commissioned to create a 6m wide kestrel in honour of ‘Kes’ for The Patron’s Lunch. We also created butterflies, owls, bumblebees and fox headdresses for the children in the procession to perform with. Design by Ala Lloyd.
Kes was made using a structure of aluminium and fibreglass. The covering was enirely made from hotknifed ripstop fabric with a sprayed finish. This was in order to defy the weather, which came in handy as it did pour down on the rehearsal run. By the main event the sun was out and the ripstop had dried off without any damage at all. The head is carved plastazote.
